Hummingbird and native butterfly favorite! Lovely dark red tubular flowers. Shiny evergreen foliage. Drought tolerant, once established. Blooms in spring and summer. Makes a lovely low hedge 2 ft tall and wide. Clay is okay with good drainage. Larval food source for buckeye and checkerspot butterflies. Deer resistant.
