Bees N Blooms offers a variety of workshops and tours during our open farm season. From hands-on garden and lavender workshops to guided farm tours exploring bees, livestock, and lavender, there’s something for every interest! Explore the links below to learn more.
Kickstart your gardening journey with these hands-on workshops that are designed to help gardeners of all levels grow healthier, more productive gardens using regenerative organic practices. All workshops are led by Bees N Blooms owner and gardening expert, Susan Kegley, who will guide you through the full gardening season—from planning and seed starting to soil testing and amending, as well as pest, irrigation, and rodent management.
Join us for a hands-on lavender workshop where you’ll learn how lavender is grown, propagated, harvested, and processed. Enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at our lavender processing equipment and steam distillation system, explore the fragrance profiles of different lavender varieties, and gain practical tips for growing healthy, thriving plants.
Each Spring and Fall, Sonoma County Farm Trails invites visitors to explore participating farms—including Bees N Blooms! We offer a few guided tours during this time. Visitors can learn about the bees that pollinate our fields, explore how we grow and process our lavender from fresh blooms to finished products, and meet the chickens, ducks, and geese that play an important role in keeping the farm healthy and thriving.
We offer guided group tours that provide an up-close look at how our farm supports pollinators, builds healthy soil, and operates using regenerative organic practices. Tours feature a choice of four engaging topics, including honey bees, pollinator habitats, lavender growing and processing, and soil-focused farming methods. Each visit concludes with time to relax in the Pavilion, where guests can enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the Lavender Labyrinth.
