U-Cut Experience and Best-Dressed Contest Starting this Weekend!

Come out to the farm June 24-25, July 1-2, and/or July 8-9 for the Lavender U-Cut Experience, when we open up our Grosso lavender field for guests to harvest their own bundles for an additional $5 per bundle. Tickets can be purchased here. We will be hosting our Best-Dressed Contest as well starting this weekend. Details below. We’re filling up fast for the June 24-25 weekend, as space is limited, so get your tickets for upcoming weekends soon!

For the Lavender U-Cut Experience, we provide clippers and guidance on how to cut. The U-Cut Experience is located in our Grosso Field, not in the Labyrinth. Guidance and directions will be given upon arrival. The terrain is a bit rough and there are bees in the lavender field, so we strongly recommend close-toed shoes to keep the bees out of your toes! The labyrinth is still looking radiant, so there are still lots of fun things to do on the farm. A few safety notes:

1) If you have a life-threatening bee-sting allergy, you will not be allowed in the cutting field. We have a lovely shady place to hang out while your friends cut a bunch of lavender for you. Photos NEAR the field (but not IN it) are OK.

2) Children under 6 are not permitted in the cutting field. Good shady spots are available to sit with kids. Children must be supervised by an adult. There are also many fun things for kids to do on the farm that are not in the cutting field, including visiting the chickens, playing Bees N Blooms Bingo, checking out the Willow Dome in the Butterfly Garden, and more.

3) Dogs are not permitted in the cutting field. The staff will happily dog-sit for you while you cut.

Its Time for the Bees N Blooms Best-Dressed Contest!

Let your inner fashionista shine! We are always so impressed by the bee-utiful and spiffy outfits our lovely guests visit the farm in during our Best-Dressed Contest days. On our remaining open farm days, our panel of judges will select a “Best-Dressed” winner to receive a special Bees N Blooms gift set! “What are the rules and how do I enter?” Great question!

Guidelines for the Best-Dressed Contest

To participate, you must attend our open-farm Lavender Daze on at least one of the following days: June 24-25, July 1-2, July 8-9. Photos must be taken on the farm. Bee Creative! Our panel of judges will cast in their votes each open-farm day according to three guidelines:

    • Creativity: Although most visitors take pictures in the Grosso field or the Labyrinth, your photo-op can be anywhere on the farm.
    • Originality: Surprise us with your stellar fashion skills!
    • True to the Lavender/Floral Theme: Integrate your outfit with the colors and flowers in the landscape here at Bees N Blooms.

Winners will be notified by 4:30PM on the day you enter!

How to Enter the Best-Dressed Contest

Once you’ve snapped a photo of you or your group adorned in your jaw-dropping outfit(s), follow these steps to enter:

  1. Post a picture of you or your group in your beautiful attire to Instagram no later than 4 PM on the same day you dress up & attend Lavender Daze.
  2. Tag us in your post: On Instagram: @bees_n_blooms or on Tiktok: @beesnblooms
  3. Include the hashtag: #BNBBestDressed2023

Safety

While we encourage posing with the gorgeous lavender and colorful flowers, please be mindful of the bees! Do not stand directly over the lavender plants. Bees can fly up dresses–oh no! Keep a sufficient distance from the lavender plants that you don’t crush the plants or inadvertently squash a bee. Our pollinator friends are currently doing an amazing job harvesting nectar from the abundance of blooms, so ‘bee’ careful!

We can’t wait to enjoy this weekend with you! See you on the farm!
