Do You Love Lavender?

Calling all Lavender Lovers! Now is the time when lavender blooms vibrantly, showcasing an awe-inspiring aura of purple within our Lavender Labyrinth. Catch this stunning beauty now during Lavender Daze, our open-farm weekend days throughout the lavender bloom season (May 21-July 10, 10am-4pm). Over the course of these next three weeks/weekends, the lavender shines the brightest and glows luminously purple, so be sure to get your tickets before the colors fade away. The lavender labyrinth is not the only showstopper at Bees N Blooms…live music will fill the air this Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 3pm, featuring Mike Z (Saturday) and Riley Hill and the Brand New Still (Sunday). Admission is $20 per person, with children 12 and under free! Check out the music schedule below for more information.

The Lavender Labyrinth is in peak bloom now, with the bright purple hues of Folgate lavender really starting to pop! Bring those cameras! And check out the Lavender Bloom Status page for 2021 to see how each variety of lavender changes over the season. Our current Lavender Bloom Status page for 2022 is updated weekly, so you can follow the bloom progression.

Got Milkweed?

We hope there is some space left in your yard or garden for a few milkweed plants! The Monarch butterfly caterpillars rely on these plants as their sole source of food as they grow. The good news is that Monarch numbers rebounded in last year’s winter count. You can help boost their population further by planting milkweed plants. We have three varieties (all perennials) for sale at the Farm Stand on open-farm days: Swamp Milkweed, Narrowleaf Milkweed, and Showy Milkweed. These will be available through the online store as well.

You don’t want to miss out on this annual, iconic lavender bloom season here at Bees N Blooms. If you can’t make it this weekend, we will be open most weekend days through July 10. Lavender Daze is our yearly show-stopper, all thanks to the 8 different varieties of organic lavender plants we have lining the pathway of the largest labyrinth in California and adjacent fields. Grab your tickets today before they sell out. We look forward to seeing you at the farm!

  1. Is it possible to purchase lavender. Plants or products or is this just for looking at?

    • Hi Patti,

Yes, we have lavender plants available. We propagate from our own lavender varieties and also have starts available from Emerisa Gardens. We have quite a few of the Melissa and Violet Intrigue lavenders and a few of the Hidcote Giant. From Emerisa, we have some Grosso lavender and a few Provence. We’ll have more as the summer goes on.

      Best,

      Susan
