Yoga in the Labyrinth at BNB

Om Shanti…We have some exciting, and peace-inducing, news to share! At Bees N Blooms, we will be hosting Yoga on the Labyrinth Green twice a month, from the Summer Solstice weekend through the Fall equinox. We are collaborating with an exceptional yoga instructor, Shanti Devi, to provide a unique opportunity to experience the labyrinth.

We are excited to bring this experience to you all. Be sure to join us for the first class on June 23 at 9:00 a.m. See full schedule on the Yoga page. Contact Shanti to register.

Each Yoga in the Labyrinth class will offer three distinct parts to the journey, utilizing the labyrinth itself in our yoga practice. These three parts consist of a process to Release, Receive, and Return.

Shanti’s classes accommodate beginners as well as advanced practitioners. All are welcome. Come join us and see for yourself the wonderful benefits of yoga, and the breathtaking views and tranquility at Bees N Blooms!

A message from Shanti:
The Labyrinth is an ancient symbol that pertains to Wholeness and has long been used as a tool for meditation and prayer.  It represents the journey to our own Center and back out into the world again.  This pairs beautifully with the practice of Yoga, the process of drawing inward to discover the union of our individual consciousness with the Universal Consciousness, or that which is bigger than us.  By quieting our minds and bodies through the conscious practice of breath, posture and inner focus we begin to find peace in our Core which allows us to move through the world with more equanimity, ease and grace.

The Bees N Blooms labyrinth has a wonderful, magical feel.  As you meander through 1/2 mile of smooth gravel pathway to the center of the labyrinth you will be enveloped in the fragrance of Lavender, feeling the warmth of the sun on your shoulders and listening to the subtle buzzing of the bees.  You will be surrounded by the expansive view of the Santa Rosa Plain to the West and Taylor Mountain to the East.  This all conspires to soothe your senses and bring focus to your thoughts.

There is also a direct, wheel-chair accessible path to the center, if you prefer.
