Springtime on the Farm

We’re excited to let you know about some upcoming events at Bees N Blooms this Spring! We are now open on weekend days, 10AM to 4PM, with lots of plants available for getting your garden started. There are some special weekends too, including Sonoma County Farm Trails (May 6-7), Mother’s Day weekend (May 13-14), and Lavender Daze (May 20-July 9). And Monday evening Sound Baths with Blue Muse and The Celestial Voice start on May 1! More info below. We’ve got some great weather coming up, so head on out to the farm!

Garden Plants Available

We’ve been working on growing CCOF-Certified Organic tomatoes and peppers for your vegetable gardens since early February, and in spite of the cold, wet weather, we’ve got some amazing plants for you. Sungold, Black Krim, Pink Berkeley Tie Dye, New Girl, Washington Cherry, and a few really unusual purple/black tomato varieties. Also, lots of different peppers, both hot and sweet. Check out our previous post for details on the varieties. We’ve also got some great pollinator plants for your flower gardens. Black-eyed Susans and Green-Eyed Susans, Pincushion flower, Showy Milkweed, Purple Coneflower, Tower of Jewels Echium, Clary Sage, and more!

Sound Baths Start May 1

We’re pleased to be working with Blue Muse and The Celestial Voice again this year to host their amazing Sound Baths on Monday evenings.  Let the fragrance of lavender fill and soothe your senses as the sound expands your awareness. Sound baths create the space for self-healing and transformation. Tickets available at Event Brite. Questions? Call Blue Muse at (707) 228-6691.

Sonoma County Farm Trails Spring Tour, May 6-7

Stop by the farm with the kids to see the baby geese, feed the chickens, and plant a six-pack of pollinator favorites to take home. Explore the farm by playing Bees N Blooms Bingo and win a sticker or a honey stick! Open 10AM to 4PM both days. Registration with Farm Trails is free and easy, but required to receive the online tour directory and interactive map, where you’ll find other farms to visit that weekend too! Register here. Guided tours on The Buzz About Bees will be given at 10AM and 1PM both Saturday and Sunday, and the Creating Habitat for Pollinators tour will be given at 1 PM on both days. Tours are $5/person. Tickets can be purchased through our Online Store. Self-guided tours are free. Grab a Farm Map and explore!

Mother’s Day Weekend, May 13-14

Bring Mom out to enjoy the spring flowers and a day on the farm. We’ll have the Pavilion all set up with seating, so bring a picnic lunch to enjoy, while taking in the beauty. We’ll have flower bouquets from SideKick Flowers and some lovely lavender gifts at the farm stand. Free admission, no reservations required.

Lavender Daze, May 20-July 9

The labyrinth is greening up now as the lavender awakens from its winter dormancy. Bring your cameras and get that perfect selfie during Lavender Daze! We’ll be creating the Lavender Bloom Status page for 2023 soon to keep you up to date on how the bloom is going. The Pavilion will be open for picnicing, so bring a lunch! The last three weekends of Lavender Daze (June 24-25, July 1-2, and July 8-9) will be for Lavender U-Cut in our Grosso field. This year, we’ll be having the John Kalleen Jazz Group playing on three different dates: May 21, June 18 (Father’s Day), and July 2. Reservations and tickets required for all Lavender Daze dates. Tickets can be purchased through the Online Store. Admission is $15 per person over 12, except on jazz days, when admission is $20 per person. Free for kids 12 and under.
