Get Your Bloom On!

It sure feels like summer. The lavender labyrinth is in peak bloom, and a diversity of other flowers are blossoming now too! We’re open next on June 11 and 12 from 10am-4pm, with musical guests Parlor Tricks ragtime band (Saturday) and Muleskinner Stomp bluegrass band (Sunday). Get your tickets online!   Admission is $20 per person, with children 12 and under free! Can’t make it this weekend? We’ve got you covered! We have open-farm Lavender Daze most Saturdays and Sundays through July 10. Check out the music schedule for more information.

The Lavender Labyrinth is in peak bloom now, with the bright purple hues of Folgate, Royal Velvet, and Munstead lavender really popping now, providing a great contrast with the White Spike and pink Melissa varieties! Our current Lavender Bloom Status page for 2022 is updated weekly, so you can follow the bloom progression. It’s a great time to walk the labyrinth and enjoy the flower gardens with friends and loved ones. Bring a picnic to enjoy in the Pavilion with the live music from 12-3 PM.

And coming up NEXT WEEK:

June 19, Father’s Day Sunday: John Kalleen Jazz Group
Bring Dad out for a wonderful day on the farm! Enjoy John Kalleen’s classic ”Blue Note Era” jazz quintet! They offer fresh compositions, echoing the admired hard bop and post-bop eras of the 50s, 60s and 70’s but infused with a modern, dynamic spark.

All the chickens, and Lucky Duck (he thinks he's a chicken too).

Fun for the Kids!

The farm is a very special place for the little ones, with lots of fun things to do.

  1. Feed the chickens. All of our chickens have unique personalities and LOVE to be fed treats. We leave a bucket with their favorite treats outside the fence so you can feed them. Introduce yourself and learn their names. They will be your friends forever, for the price of a few dried mealworms!
  2. Visit the Willow Dome. Explore the western edge of the property and check out the Willow Dome, where you can hide in the shady dome and look out over the pond at the wildlife.
  3. Visit the farm stand. Kid-friendly goodies abound! We offer stuffed animal finger puppets in the store and treats, from lavender chocolates to honey sticks.
  4. Enjoy the porch swing view from under the oak tree. Take a break from running and enjoy the gentle swaying of the swing in the shade as you look out over the purple lavender field.

You don’t want to miss out on this annual, iconic lavender bloom season here at Bees N Blooms. If you can’t make it this weekend, we will be open most weekend days through July 10. Lavender Daze is our yearly show-stopper, all thanks to the 8 different varieties of organic lavender plants we have lining the pathway of the largest labyrinth in California and adjacent fields. Grab your tickets today before they sell out. We look forward to seeing you at the farm!
