First Day of Lavender Daze is Right Around the Corner!

It’s time to get those cameras ready for the purple! The start of lavender bloom is imminent—Lavender Daze starts the weekend of May 21-22. Come on out and enjoy some classic bluegrass from Riley Hill and Brand New Still on Saturday and great piano and vocals from the Pamela Joyce and Bob McBain Duo on Sunday. Music from noon to 3 PM. Reservations required. Tickets available through our online store. On Saturday, bring a picnic to enjoy in the Pavilion while you listen. On Sunday, we’ll have Dino’s Greek Food Truck here on site for you to enjoy. And the May 21-22 weekend is just the beginning! We’ll have lavender bloom through June and into July, with the farm open for visiting most weekend days through July 10. The last three weekends are the Lavender U-Cut Experience, where we open the Grosso lavender field for you to cut your own lavender bundles. We’ll have music on all of our open-farm days, from jazz to bluegrass, acoustic vocals to rock, blues, and ragtime. Check the Lavender Daze page for the schedule and come on out to the farm!

Things To Do on the Farm

The lavender in the labyrinth is the earliest bloom of the season. Come and walk the labyrinth, inhale the heavenly fragrance of lavender, and watch the bees at work. Take some photos to share with your friends. Shop the Farm Stand for lavender products, honey, and gifts. Use the Farm Map to explore the farm, visit the new Butterfly Haven, and see what’s blooming in the flower gardens. Enjoy the music and a picnic in the Pavilion. Bring the kids (12 and under get free admission) and visit the chickens, ducks, and geese. We always put a little food out in front of the chicken pen so you can feed the chickens (BTW, feeding dried mealworms to a chicken makes you their friend for life!).

The Pavilion is the perfect place to enjoy the music.
I will love you forever if you feed me mealworms!

The Buzz About Bees Tour

We’ll also be doing our Buzz About Bees tour the weekend of May 21-22 on both Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to noon. Join us to learn about how the honey bee colony works, what the bees do over their lifetime, and how they communicate with each other. We’ll even let you take a peek through the window of our top-bar hive. Sign up at the farm stand when you arrive and meet in the Pavilion promptly at 11 for the start of the tour. Included with admission. Limited to 20 people each day.
