We’re Opening!

With a sigh of relief, we were happy to see that some of the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted and the Lavender Labyrinth and Flower Gardens can now be open! We are hearing from our friends that many of you are ready for a dose of sunshine, beauty, and the heavenly fragrances of blooming flowers. We can arrange that!

Our opening day will be this Friday, May 22. Our new days and hours of operation are:

Fridays, 10 AM to 3 PM
Sundays, 10 AM to 3 PM
CLOSED on Saturdays

This is perfect timing for our visitors to watch the progression of the lavender bloom, which is getting off to a great start. From a distance, the labyrinth looks like it has purple fuzz on the circles. We’ll be tracking the bloom like last year, with weekly updates to the 2020 Lavender Bloom Status page. I’ve included some photos below for a preview of other flowers that are blooming now. You’ll have to come and visit to catch that fragrance of sweet peas though!

Bring a mask to wear if you can’t get at least 6 feet from other people and be ready to practice those social distancing skills we’ve all honed over the last couple of months. Safety protocols specific to the farm are listed below the photos.

Hope to see you on the farm!

Bees N Blooms Safety Protocols

1) Only one person at a time in the Farm Stand. Masks required. Only touch what you intend to purchase.

2) Travel through the Farm Stand is one-way: Enter through the farm-side door and exit through the Petaluma Hill Road door.

3) Credit card and contactless payment methods preferred. The screen used for signatures will be sanitized between customers. For cash transactions, exact change required.

4) Travel in the labyrinth is one-way, to minimize overlap of groups. Because it may be impossible to be 6 feet from someone in the labyrinth pathways, we are asking visitors to wear masks when in the labyrinth. When out on the farm grounds, it is generally possible to stay more than 6 feet from others, so masks are not required in other parts of the farm.

5) Our nursery plant tables are well-spaced, to accommodate socially-distanced browsing of plants.

6) We have hand-washing stations and hand sanitizer available.

7) Soap and water is available to wash picnic tables before use.

  1. Is it possible to picnic there Friday? I’m planning on coming with 1 or 2 other ladies at noon. If not we understand and can text message in my garden before leaving Petaluma. Thank you.
