Bees N Blooms Online Store to Launch Soon

Bees N Blooms will be taking orders online for pickup at the farm until the COVID-19 Shelter-In-Place order is lifted, starting the week of April 13. There will be a link for the store from the front page of our website once the store is live, no later than Tuesday, April 14, so check back and place your order then. Pickups will be on Tuesdays and Fridays between 10 AM and 2 PM. We have vegetable and flower starts, eggs, honey, and produce. Tomato plant varieties include Black Krim, Sungold, Bronze Torch, Nepal, and Cherokee Purple. We have 16 different varieties of pepper plants available, as well as a number of different pollinator-friendly organic flower plants. Lavender products are also available, including lavender hand sanitizer and organic lavender oil, sachets, and lavender buds.

We are disappointed to not be open for Farm Trails weekend this year, but it seems wise to stick with the social distancing until we have this virus on the run. We hope to be open again for events, open-farm days, and tours as soon as possible, but until then we’d like to share a few photos so you can get a virtual tour of how spring is progressing here on the farm. Nature doesn’t seem to care much about us humans and is carrying on as usual. It’s comforting to see.

In the meantime, don’t forget to breathe! We’ll get through this and out the other side. We miss you all. Stay healthy!

  1. Hi Susan,

Thanks for letting me know! Doran might want some sun golds! How much are they? What a lovely place to be sheltering!

    • That’s great! It’s perfect timing to get them in the ground. You’ll have tomatoes by late June! Tomato and pepper plants are $3 each.

  2. Beautiful pictures. We would love to be able to picnic there again and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. All of the plants we bought from you (flowers) have come back and doing great. I am looking forward to checking out your online store. 🌷🌷

Susie, Wonderful to see the pictures, especially interesting to view the whole farm, the land that you and ‘Geoff have transformed and good to read about your progress and activities. Only wish that we could be there to walk through. Virginia is so far away.

    • Good to hear from you both! I hope all is well in Virginia and you are staying strong and healthy! Take care!

  4. Your pictures are inspiring and comforting. Reminds us to step outside and enjoy the beauty of nature and stop watching the news 🙂

  5. Thanks, it was wonderful to see the pictures. I’ll check out the online store once it is open. Stay well.
