You’re Invited! Lost Hearts and Souls Fundraiser, Sunday August 18

We’re delighted to be hosting the Lost Hearts and Souls Horse Rescue fundraiser picnic this Sunday, August 18, from noon to 3 p.m. and wanted to extend a personal invitation to the event to all of our subscribers. For tickets, contact Betsy Bueno 707-479-5639 or BetsyBueno@aol.com also via PAYPAL at lostheartsandsouls.org.

A delicious Texas BBQ lunch is included. There will be fun things to do for the kids and a chance to say ‘hi’ to rescue animals like cats and dogs (and adopt, if you can!). There will be a silent auction with many useful, beautiful, and/or tasty items to bid on, as well as a raffle.

We are otherwise closed to the public this Sunday, August 18.

Lost Hearts and Souls Horse Rescue makes your soul feel good. They have been rescuing and rehabilitating abused, neglected, and abandoned horses and other farm animals in Sonoma County for 23 years. They were also instrumental in helping people evacuate and find their animals during the 2017 fires in Santa Rosa. They help all of the Northern California Animal Control Departments with abuse and neglect cases, providing rehabilitation services and a formal investigation for court cases.

Lost Hearts and Souls Horse Rescue also provides help for those in need. If you lose your job or home, they can help with Animal / Horse Food and Shelter. They also provide emergency transport to UC Davis for those without a trailer. And of course, disaster response. LHSHR worked all four Lake County Fires and the Big Santa Rosa Fire for three weeks. They rescued over 400 animals, at least half of which were horses.

All of this amazing work requires funding so they can be prepared for the next event. Please consider supporting them so they can continue their invaluable work for the community.
