As the end of summer draws near, we are prepping the beehives for fall, processing the lavender harvest, working on planning the flower arcs for the next growing year, and harvesting honey. Bees N Blooms honey will be available on Labor Day weekend for sure, so stop by if you want to buy some honey made from flowers on the farm. Lavender and blackberry are the primary flowers our bees have been foraging on, so it should be very tasty honey! We also have a new harvest of delicious wildflower honey from the Secret Garden Apiary in Petaluma.
There will be a few more open-farm days before Labor Day, so plan on getting your lavender fix before fall sets in. We have lavender sachets from four different varieties of lavender from the Bees N Blooms labyrinth, as well as lavender oil and hydrosol from Monte Bellaria’s lavender farm in Sebastopol. The organic heirloom tomatoes and peppers will be plentiful, so plan on taking some home!
