Open-Farm at Bees N Blooms this Valentine’s Day Weekend

Love is in the air! To celebrate Valentine’s Day a little early, we will be open THIS weekend from 10am-3pm, Saturday and Sunday. The beauty of Bees N Blooms invites a rich experience to share with the special love(s) in your life. The weather promises to be glorious, and with the bright mustard flowers blooming, expansive views glistening, and happy creatures moving about, Bees N Blooms is a LOVEly breath of fresh air. The geese are feeling the love too! Zeke is the man of the year and seems to want all the girls to himself. Suffice it to say that the goose pen is an interesting (and noisy!) place as of late, so when you visit, be sure to check in there to see what’s up. We’re starting to see results of the goose mating that is going on, and we have 5 goose eggs so far, three from Lulu and two from Zoey. The females lay an egg every other day until they have 10-12 eggs, and then start incubating the eggs. They sit on the nest for 31 long days before the baby goslings hatch out, getting up only to race around gobbling food and drinking water before running back to the nest. Usually, we have our first goslings around the end of March. We can’t wait for the babies–they are soooo cute!

Finally, we are excited to announce our open farm season dates for Lavender Daze in 2022: 10am-4pm, May 21-22, May 28-29, June 5, June 12, June 19, June 25-26, July 2-3, and July 9-10. Reservations are required during peak lavender bloom.  Stay tuned for more information and registration links as we get closer to the date.
