For those who missed out on our Lavender U-Cut last weekend, or wish to come back for more, bee sure to join us again this upcoming weekend on Friday, July 10th and Sunday, July 12th. With the help of visitors last weekend, around 400 bunches of Grosso lavender was cut! That’s a whole bunch 😉 It was a relief to have the extra help with such a large field, and it was exciting to see so many friends and families enjoying the great expanse of the farm grounds. It was a successful weekend, and yet there’s still much more lavender to cut. We will have a special treat this Friday for the kids—baby dwarf goats will be at the farm for visitors to greet down at the Poultry Palace! Reservations are required through Eventbrite.
This is the perfect opportunity to do some craft work with lavender—wands, wreaths, baskets and more! These items must be made when the lavender stems are flexible, so you should harvest and get right to work on making unique decorations and gifts. We have created a handout with instructions that you can use as a guide. Our experience is that the first one you make might look a little lumpy, but it’s easy to learn and soon you’ll be a pro!
Thank you to all who joined us last weekend, and thank you in advance to those who will be coming this weekend. We are looking forward to another round of Lavender U-Cut extravaganza!

Cait, another very written piece. I’ve reread your article about the creatures at Bees N Blooms. So obvious that you love animals and humanity. I wish I could see all of them in the flesh! Keep up the good work and good writing.
