We are now open for the season, Thursday through Sunday, 11am to 4pm. All are welcome to visit and take advantage of the serene nature of the labyrinth, farm and the expansive view of the Santa Rosa Plain and Taylor Mountain.
This last weekend, we kicked off the start of the summer season with the countywide Farm Trails weekend event. It was a great opportunity to celebrate with the community. Many visitors spent part of their weekend with us, exploring the flower arcs, playing in the lavender labyrinth, learning about the farm in our guided tours, and relaxing in the Pavilion. The weather was perfect, and guests made the farm their own for the day, helping us name our new baby geese, enjoying the center of the labyrinth, and dancing along to live music by The Pine Needles band (they were great!). Thank you to all who joined us! And for those who didn’t have a chance to visit, we have some new events coming up that you may be interested in. For those of you who added a suggestion to our name list for the baby geese, the results on the names are in! We chose to name the two female geese Ella and Honey and the male gander Angel. We appreciate your help!
On the horizon, we have some upcoming special events that will be sure to rouse folks from the nest to come visit us at the farm:
- This Saturday, May 4 is World Labyrinth Day! Join us in celebrating the 11th annual worldwide event, joining over 5,000 people taking steps for peace. All are welcome to walk this pathway, the largest labyrinth in California, where relaxation, reflection, connection, and joy in the beauty of nature can be experienced.
- Mother’s Day is May 12th, two weeks away! Pay the farm stand a visit to get something special for the mothers in your life. Being a flower farm, we have a bounty of flowers to choose from that any mother would be sure to adore. From floral bouquets to hand-made jewelry, we’ve got a wide array of gifts to select from. Some companion gifts we recommend adding to your mother’s day flowers include, delicious Sonoma County honey, select lavender items (sachets, oil, and hydrosol), hand-made cards, artisan glass items, beeswax candles, and unusual ornamental nursery plants for the gardener in your life.
We hope to see you on the farm!
Hi Susan. Our family plans to visit your farm on Sunday, May 12. We are so excited to see all that you have to look at and experience. Do you have plenty of parking? What is your least busy time for us to visit? Thank you for your input.
Hi Linda,
That’s great you are going to visit on Mother’s Day. We do have lots of parking inside the gate, so drive on in and follow the signs for parking. The least busy time is right when we open at 11 a.m. and towards the end of the afternoon around 3:30.
Hope to see you!
Susan
