Lavender Bloom Fest 2025

Mid-May to mid-July is the time when all the lavender at Bees N Blooms is blooming with bright purple radiance, and we open the farm to the public for Lavender Bloom Fest! This is the best time to come out to enjoy all that the farm has to offer, especially the lovely labyrinth. Because of the many different varieties of lavender, we have bloom from mid-May through mid-July. The farm is open during Lavender Bloom Fest on Saturdays and Sundays, from 10 AM to 4 PM, and select Friday evenings (May 30 and every Friday in June) for sunset from 6 PM to 9 PM. Reservations are required during lavender bloom, to ensure we have sufficient parking and that our guests have a wonderful experience. Admission is $15 per person on most dates and $20 per person on days with the band. Kids 12 and under are free with an adult. Tickets can be used any time during open hours on that day and can be purchased through our Online Store. Tickets give you access to walk the grounds at your own pace and take a self guided tour using our Farm Map.

The peak lavender bloom for each variety of lavender varies, depending on the weather. Check the Lavender Bloom Status page to see the progression of bloom for this year. This page also links to Lavender Bloom Status from previous years, so you can see the variation.

Highlights of Lavender Bloom Fest

Jazz on the Farm with the John Kalleen Jazz Group:
We’re thrilled to have the John Kalleen Jazz Group visiting the farm on Sunday, May 25 (Memorial Day weekend), Sunday, June 15 (Father’s Day), and Sunday, July 13 (our last open farm day) during lavender bloom. Plan an outing and bring a lunch to enjoy in the Pavilion with jazz on the farm! The John Kalleen Group is a classic ”Blue Note Era” jazz quintet! They offer fresh compositions, echoing the admired hard bop and post-bop eras of the 50s, 60s and 70’s but infused with a modern, dynamic spark. They deliver swinging, spirited arrangements of the classics from those eras. In an age of pickup bands, where “group performance” often means an assemblage of soloists trading licks, the JKG is instead a true ensemble, a quintet of musicians who rehearse and arrange together to create the kind of flowing, harmonious interplay, joyous power and full-bodied sound that comes only from a mutual, enduring dedication. Put more simply, the JKG is a tight, creative band that swings like mad and is a blast to listen to! Tickets here. Find the Jazz Day in the dropdown menu.

Peak bloom in the Labyrinth:
Between late May and mid- to late June, the English lavender varieties in the labyrinth light up with brilliant purples, classic lavender, whites, and pinks as they come into full bloom. Each circle in the labyrinth is a different variety of lavender–a beautiful sight to see! From late June to mid-July, the Grosso lavender field comes into peak bloom and is perfect for the Lavender U-Cut Experience (see below).

Lavender at Sunset:
There’s no better time than a glowing sunset to experience the full beauty of lavender. This year, we’re opening the farm on selected evenings during bloom time to share the beauty, May 30 and every Friday in June, from 6 PM to 9 PM. Bring a camera, friends, and a dinner to enjoy in the Pavilion as you watch the sunset. The farm stand will be open from 6 PM to 8 PM. Tickets here. Find the Lavender Sunset Evenings in the dropdown menu.

The Lavender U-Cut Experience and Best-Dressed Contest:
The French lavender variety Grosso is the best for long-lasting fragrance, and we have three-quarters of an acre of it, as well as some new (very purple!) varieties. We open the Grosso field for the Lavender U-Cut Experience late June through mid-July, when it is in peak bloom. Our U-Cut days are June 28-29, July 5-6, and July 12-13.  U-Cut bundles are not included in the admission price, but are only $5 per bundle. Come dressed to the nines to compete in the Best-Dressed Contest, with great lavender prizes from the Farm Stand! Tickets here. Find the U-Cut days in the dropdown menu.
