Red Maple Tree (Acer x Freemanii, Autumn Blaze)

The Red Maple Tree is quite showy in autumn when its leaves turn a brilliant red-orange. This tree can grow forty to sixty feet tall and can grow in part shade/part sun, or full sun. It has moderate drought tolerance and usually needs pruning to develop a strong structure. This tree flowers in early spring before the new leaves emerge, providing an important source of pollen and nectar for early spring bees.
