London Plane Tree

The London Plane Tree is magnificent when fully grown. It reaches seventy to one hundred feet tall and its large green leaves range from five to ten inches wide. This tree does best in full sun and is drought tolerant. It attracts birds, small mammals, and pollinators. The London Plane Tree produces clusters of fruit that ripen in October. The male fruits are green and small and the female clusters are red. This tree also has a unique bark that flakes off, revealing a white, smooth under layer.
